Brian MacKenzie Teepell/USPA 24 News - Three teenagers from Moncton have been arrested after allegedly taking a stolen vehicle on a joyride, which was captured in several wild videos.
Police apprehended two young individuals on Sunday evening, and a third later surrendered. The three, comprising a 16-year-old male, a 14-year-old male, and a 16-year-old female, were released and are anticipated to appear in court later.
Footage has emerged appearing to show one teenager riding on the roof of the moving vehicle, while another video captures a youth hanging out a window as the vehicle spins across a park before driving onto a sidewalk.
Reports of thefts and break-ins linked to the incidents were received by the RCMP. Police subsequently arrested two 16-year-olds, a male and a female, while a 14-year-old male surrendered. The three are set to appear in court in November. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Newly released videos appear to show three Moncton-area teenagers embarking on a treacherous joyride in a stolen vehicle, with the footage spreading rapidly online.
The residents state that the behaviour was especially frightening because children often play in the area.
